The slow Jam is geared to players interested in learning how to fit into full blown jam sessions while playing at a slower tempo. Tunes are arranged so that different instruments will take the lead while others learn to back up the lead player. Emphasis is on listening to one another and complimenting each other's playing.All levels of players are welcome and all types of acoustic "old time" instruments may join in. The music ranges from old time fiddle tunes, to some Celtic jigs, reels, hornpipes, and occasionally a few waltzes. Listeners are always welcome. |
